How to do Department/Branch change at IIT? By a Civil to Electrical DepC Guy😀

Like many students, I also wanted to try for Department change and was ready to work hard for it.🤠

First Semester

But with such difference in Life-Style and environment which we had in IIT as compared to the JEE preparation time, being focused was more challenging and by that time, I started getting feeling of the study here, then our mid-semester exam came and I was not prepared well, as a result, I didn't score up to my potential.😥

So, with messing in the mid-semester exam in 1st semester, I got 8.65 C.G.P.A. .which was a little above the eligibility criteria to apply for the Department change. I was sure that I wouldn't get it as more than 14 students were having C.G.P.A. more than me.😕

Second Semester

But I have learned my lesson from the first semester and tried hard for the mid-semester in 2nd semester. I studied regularly, attend all the lectures positively, and do the proper practice of Questions. After mid-semester in February, we all went to home, due to Covid-19 and were having online studies. 😐

Since I had scored well in the mid-semester exam and because of the online semester, the end-semester exam was quite easy. I got 9.71 C.G.P.A. in the 2nd semester. I topped in my branch and my overall C.G.P.A. become 9.19 and I got a Department change to Electrical branch from Civil branch,😀

The motive of my story is simple- " Never lose hope, If you do hard work and give your 100%, then success will come automatically in your path "🥳
